I am often asked by my family, friends and coworkers why I blog. Is it the glory, the riches, my ego. Nah not really. The pure and simple answer is....the people.
The people you get to meet and connect with makes this weird thing called blogging worthwhile. People from all walks of life, backgrounds, ethnicities, opinions, preferences. It makes this vast world seem small and connected.
My response is usually met with a puzzled look followed by one simple word "Geek".
Well I might be a geek, but this geek KICKS ASS!!! And now thanks to Diane today it's official.
That's right people, step back, allow me to beat my bird chest a bit. You see this blogger kicks ass. Okay...not really, there are many more bloggers out there that kick way more ass than me, but I am honored nonetheless.
So now, according to "the rules," I have to pass this award on to five other kick as bloggers.
To top my list I gotta to pick James. Not only does his blog Kick Ass, but he himself is one Kick Ass Dad that is making all the right moves and is a great role model for others to follow.
This has to be followed up by VegasDad. Kudos to a man keeping his family grounded and sane in Sin City.
Next, I gotta add Mama Nuggle to my list. It has been a blast watching another person learn the ins and outs of this crazy blogging world. She is back at work now and who doesn't want to know they kick ass when they have to go back to work.
Following the chick theme, I gotta throw another hat tip to my fellow DC area peep, Sarah. She deserves a medal considering her son can shoot lasers out of his eyes. And despite her love of the Tampa Bay Bucs she is a cool chick.
Finally, I gotta give a shout out to Whit. You know if I could trade places with any blog out there, it would be with his. It is a treat to be able to read his blog.
So there you have it folks....5 bloggers that kick ass, 1 that kicks ass for nominating me and 1 that is dumbstruck that anyone thinks he kicks anything.
