Have I ever told you how much I hate Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us (otherwise know as the 7th Circle of Hell)
No.
Well, I do.
Oh and hate my be too lenient.
No, I despise them. I despise everything about them.
They are the place where as a parent, your soul goes to die.
They are crowded and often times disheveled
Good help is hard to find. Actually downright impossible.
And when you do find someone to help you out, what you want and what you drove those 20 some miles in bumper to bumper traffic is never there.
Then when you try and place your order to have it shipped to you, you must wait in another line for another 20 minutes.
All in all, a pretty soul killing experience.
But parents in DC, you have been saved. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and you must go towards it.
No more long treks out to BFE only to be discouraged, distraught, burnt out and pissed.
Nope, now you can sit back and just Giggle. And yo, these folks are laughing all the way to the bank.
Located in the phatty section of Friendship Heights (technically Chevy Chase) next to Bloomies and close by to JCrew, Pottery Barn, and Jimmy Choo (don't look directly at the Choo's hun).
This store rocks. The salespeople are not only friendly and personable, but hello they are helpful too.
The store is clean, organized, easy to navigate and not littered with all sorts of crap. The store makes sense. You can get what you want, get out and get on with your life.
They have everything from strollers, to cribs, to clothes, to bibs, to eating utensils, to books, to cds, to you name it.
Seriously if you live in DC and are a new parent or an old parent or need to buy a gift, head over there. You will not be disappointed.
And to my friends at Buy Buy Baby or Babies R Us I will be taking my soul back. Thank you.
