Why not?

Rut Gang, I have been out of the groove for quite some time now - guess you could say stuck in a rut.   Blame the weather - great weather that is.  Blame work - wow busy.

But when that does happen, it is really hard to get right back into that groove again.   So that's why I am glad that my good friend and expert Mind Ninja, Brendan tagged me with Top 5 Reasons I Blog meme.

I really missed doing this.  So here goes, why the heck do I even do this....

1) Because I can - Pretty simple right.  1st Amendment baby.  Gotta love the freedoms of this country.  I have the right to own my voice and speak it.  Why be silent, when you can join in the fray and have some fun, meet interesting people and laugh a bit.

2) Because I want to be better informed -  The best way to learn is to listen and share.

3) Because I want to connect - I want to feel a part of something larger and connect with people from across the globe.

4) Because I want to experiment - Just becuase you do things one way does not mean there is not another way of doing it.  Goes back to education and being better informed.

5) Because I need an outlet - You cannot keep everything bottled up inside - happiness, creativity, or confusion.  You got to let it out.  This is my playground, lots of four square going on.  Come in to play.  You won't get hurt.

Brendan, thanks for helping me out of the mud and on to drier land.  Now, let me a tag a few new folks that I have met:

Doug Meacham

David Reich

Adam Schultz

Cord Silverstein

Dave Conrey

Matt, I'm still fairly new at blogging. I launched my2cents in mid-Feb. About a month lkater, I posted about what I get from blogging, which I'll summarize here...since you asked.

1. Real people. The marketing bloggers seem real and not about egos and b.s.

2. Sharing. Bloggers want to share information and ideas.

3. Encouragement. I've had so much encouragement from other bloggers as I first got started.

4. Global. Via the blogosphere I've "met" and in many cases started friendships with people around the U.S. and Canada and way beyond -- as far as Australia.

5. Camraderie. Bloggers seem to re4ally care about each other.

6. Thinking. Writing posts and commenting on others' forces me to think a little more and a little harder. It5's good exercise for the brain.

7. Fun.

If you want to see my reasons in more depth, you can check my March 23rd post at http://reichcomm.typepad.com/my_weblog/2007/03/youre_it.html
