Are you hungry?

As many of you may know I a HUGE tennis aficionado and a even bigger fan of Roger Federer.

Nadal_2 That means Sunday was torture on my nerves and on my heart as a I saw Fed succumb to a younger and hungrier, Rafael Nadal.

Now, I have been a bit busy with my new jump into parenthood and my tennis has been limited to that of a spectator, but after watching the Wimbledon final I am inspired to give some back to the Perm.

So let's kick it off with a question:

Are you hungry?  Or are you simply satisfied and settled?

The difference during Sunday's match can be boiled down to one thing...H-U-N-G-E-R.  Rafa had the will and hunger to get out there and grab what he believed was his.  He was never going to give in even if he will spend his retirement years in a wheelchair.

No matter what you do, advertising...marketing...product development...selling widgets...telecom law...you need that hunger to keep you going and give you purpose.  Even when you reach the top, you have to find a way to push it even more.

So what are you waiting for?  Go get hungry today.

And congrats Rafa.  (damn that was painful)

Matt, what a perfect "butt-kicking" question!

The urgency has to be there. And in many organizations "the hungry" are hard to find.

By the way, congrats on the fatherhood phase of your journey!

Keep creating,
Mike
